Speed Friending 2025

The Haverhill Pride community hosted an unforgettable afternoon of fun and connection at Barrio’s on Merrimack St in Haverhill, MA! This event was a perfect example of our mission in action—creating safe spaces and fostering belonging for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The afternoon kicked off with Friend Bingo, a lively icebreaker designed to quickly forge new connections. We then moved into structured Speed Friending, where pairs rotated through conversations in five-minute intervals. This format was incredibly successful in expanding the social network of our local queer community.

Vibes stayed high the rest of the afternoon as attendees built upon the new connections they made, celebrated the community, and enjoyed fantastic entertainment. The energy was electric thanks to a fierce drag performance from Madam Zapple and a stellar setlist from DJ PJ. To top off the excitement, we gave away seven fantastic raffle prizes! This gathering served as a powerful reminder that our social events in Haverhill are about strengthening the bonds of our family all year long.
