PRESIDENT

Nathan Phillips is a marketing and events professional with over a decade of experience creating memorable campaigns and live events. A proud gay man, he brings his passion for community to his role as President of Haverhill Pride. He holds a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communication from Endicott College and is currently pursuing his M.B.A. at Babson College.

After moving to Haverhill in 2024 with his husband and dog, he was surprised to discover there was no central hub for the local queer community. Inspired to build the connection he was seeking, he got involved with Haverhill Pride. He has since been instrumental in shaping the organization, now entering his second year of leading of the Marketing Subcommittee.

His deep passion for community-led work drives his focus on using feedback tools like surveys to ensure Haverhill Pride’s initiatives truly reflect the needs of the community it serves. He is also an hobbyist photographer, specializing in the art of drag performance.

VICE PRESIDENT

Emilio Viscio is a creative with over a decade of experience in graphic design and marketing. Holding degrees in both disciplines, he has used his formal education to advocate for and promote the well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals through non-profits including Planned Parenthood and Harvard Medical School. With a lifetime of experience in grassroots activism, Emilio spent his early days attending pro-union rallies and participating in action-oriented anarchist collectives such as Food Not Bombs.

After moving to Haverhill 3 years ago with his wife and dog, they sought out connections in the community and serendipitously stumbled into Haverhill Pride's first meeting. Having nearly 10 years of experience in running various roller derby non-profits, they were excited to bring that knowledge to a young organization. He's excited to combine his passion for community-driven action, LGBTQIA+ well-being, and professional experience to the role of Vice President.

SECRETARY

Chelsea Daigle is a dedicated educator and community advocate with deep roots in Haverhill. They are currently a special education teacher at Landmark High School, where they bring their passion for inclusive education to the classroom. This work is informed by their academic journey, which includes a bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Educational Studies from Suffolk University, and their current pursuit of a master's degree in Special Education.

A lifelong Haverhill resident since the age of five, Chelsea's commitment to community engagement is extensive. They have been involved in a wide range of local initiatives, including their early work with Haverhill's Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) program, organizing for local marches and protests, and speaking at the 2023 Haverhill Pride flag raising. Their dedication to the Haverhill queer community led them to serve as an active Programming Subcommittee Member last year.

In their role as Secretary, Chelsea draws on their experience as the lead organizer of Haverhill Pride's 2025 Peacekeeper team and as the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2025 celebration. These experiences, which involved coordinating de-escalation training and managing a large body of volunteers, highlight their exceptional organizational and communication skills. Chelsea is driven by their desire to build a more just and supportive community for all.

Catherine Chandler, MA, MEd, is a respected leader in higher education with over two decades of experience dedicated to championing equity and access. Drawing on her academic background—including a bachelor and master of arts in art history and a master of education—they lead the 2025 Programming Subcommittee for Haverhill Pride.

Having lived in Haverhill for eight years with her wife, Alexandra, and their two children, Catherine has deep roots in the community. Her passion for queer advocacy is long-standing, built on their past involvement with Washington D.C.'s Capital Pride and the renowned Whitman Walker Clinic.

She is passionate about creating programming that is not only celebratory but also deeply connected to the needs of the community. Their work ensures every Haverhill Pride event is a meaningful space for belonging, learning, and joy.

MEMBER AT-LARGE

Patrick Sainato is a proud Haverhill native who spent his entire childhood in the Haverhill school system - starting the Haverhill Daycare Center, graduating from Haverhill High School (HHS), and studying at Northern Essex Community College (NECC). Today, Patrick is working towards a B.S. in Biology from UMASS Boston and continues to serve as a proud advocate for LGBTQIA+ youth. Patrick first became involved in Haverhill Pride at the City’s Flag Raising in 2023, later becoming a founding member of the Haverhill Pride organization and helping to bring Haverhill’s First Parade and Celebration to the city in 2024.

Patrick's advocacy dates back to his time as a student at HHS, where as a senior he founded the first ever GSA club at C.D. Hunking School. Later, Patrick’s efforts towards increased funding and the expansion of the Early College program with the Massachusetts Alliance for Early College (MA4EC) brought him to D.C. as a panelist discussing education gaps in underserved communities at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This helped him secure an internship with MA State Rep Andy Vargas where Patrick was able to effect real change working on bills like H.383 An Act Expanding Licensure Opportunity for School Counselors.

Patrick brings his passion for youth education and underserved communities to his role on the Haverhill Pride Executive Board. Patrick is honored to serve as one of Haverhill Pride's Members at Large and to be a part of such a momentous organization. It has been a long time coming and he is glad to help nurture Haverhill's blossoming LGBTQIA+ culture.
