Nerds, Dice, and Drag: Recapping Dungeons in Drag
Community members gathered in small groups with one drag performer and one dungeon master to play one-shot dungeons and dragons campaigns.
Instead of the typical Valentine’s Day pressure, we spent our Saturday at Creatorpult Games celebrating platonic love and the power of a shared hobby. Dungeons in Drag was our way of bringing the Haverhill queer community together for a day that was equal parts nerdy, creative, and inclusive.
Whether you were a seasoned Dungeon Master or someone who had never held a 20-sided die before, seeing the tables at Creatorpult packed with people telling stories together was a perfect reminder of why we do this work.
A Quest Like No Other
The highlight of the afternoon was our D&D one-shots, where players went on adventures alongside our guest drag performers. We were joined by a fantastic cast—including two queens and one king—who proved that high-glam and high-fantasy go hand-in-hand.
Beyond the D&D tables, the room was buzzing with pick-up games of Magic: The Gathering and folks diving into the board game library. It wasn't about "winning"; it was about making space for folks to be themselves and meet neighbors who share their interests.
Attendees entered our raffle to win one of three prizes, including this 3D printed rainbow dice tower!
Community Support & Raffle Winners
We also gave away two massive raffle baskets—one for the D&D fans and one for the board game lovers—filled with gear to keep the gaming going at home. A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket; those funds go directly toward the logistical costs of our June 20th Pride Parade and Celebration.
A special shout-out to Creatorpult Games for hosting us. Having a dedicated, queer-friendly space for tabletop gaming right here on Emerson Street is a huge asset to Haverhill, and we were thrilled to fill their shop with so much joy.

Build the Road to June
Haverhill Pride is a year-round effort, and we’re currently in the thick of planning for the June 20th Parade and Celebration. It takes a lot of hands to pull off a city-wide festival, and we’re looking for neighbors to help us make it happen.
If you want to get more involved, the best way to start is by joining one of our subcommittees. Whether you’re into marketing, logistics, community outreach, or just want to help out on the day of the event, there’s a spot for you on the team.
