Queer Stories
Learn about LGBTQ+ History
May 30th, Doors at 2 PM | City Hall Auditorium | 4 Summer St, Haverhill MA, 2nd Floor
Join author Sarah Prager as she shares fascinating stories from LGBTQ+ history you’ve never heard before.
We’ll learn why LGBTQ+ matters, how far back it goes, how it has shaped the world, and who some of the most interesting individuals from it are! Before and after the talk, enjoy activities and time to connect with the Haverhill Public Library, Haverhill Pride Collective, Buttonwoods Museum, Creative Haverhill, and Good and Golden Books.
Before we hear from Sarah, we want to hear from YOU! Share a piece of your own LGBTQ+ history: a memory, a person, a moment that mattered. Submissions received by May 27 will be showcased at the event as part of a community story collection.
Queer Stories guests are welcome to enter City Hall through the side and rear entrances. Please note that the main front entrance will be closed for this event. Accessible access is available via the Main Street parking lot along the Main Street side of the building
